final progress and next steps
This week, I did a lot of work on the basic setup and planning of my project. I am almost done with the woven portion of the piece and will finish that by the end of the week. I also wired up all my photocells to the multiplexer (which is a bit of a wire soup). I am a bit unsure of how the out pins of the multiplexer work (s0,s1,s2, sig, etc.) and I’m not sure which pins I actually need to use yet. The library does not provide very good info so I’ll have to do some more research. I began coding and setting up my pins/pin modes, and will be able to work on some of the code over the break.
These are progress photos so far:

Next steps:
I just bought adafruit neopixels and conductive thread, and they should be arriving in the next couple of days
I need to figure out how to wire them and code them - can I use the neopixel library?
After finishing weaving, I will be able to sew the thread and attach it (somehow) to the neopixels
I need to connect the strands of neopixels to the arduino
In the next couple of weeks, I will work on coding, sewing in the neopixels, and then drafting up my laser cut box!
